FACT’s mission is to prevent future cases of childhood cancer. We seek to achieve this by reducing the amount of carcinogens and toxics released in our community; informing parents of environmental hazards that may affect their children’s health; and strengthening health tracking data collection, so our public health leaders will have the information they need to keep us safe.

Based in southern Arizona, FACT formed in 2003 when parents of children with cancer gathered to encourage investigation into the childhood leukemia cluster in Sierra Vista, Arizona.
