Families Against Cancer & ToxicsStop cancer before it starts
January 24, 2007 SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. -- Lily Mae Doyle passed away Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007. Our angel Lily was born in Salisbury in February 2004 and relocated to Sierra Vista in June 2005. She was diagnosed with AML cancer on Feb. 18, 2006. Lily underwent numerous chemo treatments and two transplants to help fight this awful disease. Lily fought long and hard throughout the whole ordeal, however last Saturday the disease overcame her while in her mother's arms surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her parents, Shawn and Alicia; a brother, Seth; her grandparents, Larry and Cyndi Davis and Lloyd and Rosann Doyle; her great-grandparents, Phillip Doyle, Darrell and Mary Meaders, Jim Eskew and Angie Morosa; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Lily has touched so many lives all over the world. She is a true inspiration to all those who will greatly miss this little miracle. Lily was a very vibrant little girl who never stopped fighting and looking forward to the better things in life. During her struggle, she was fortunate to get out of the hospital briefly during the summer of 2006 and again during Thanksgiving and Christmas. On behalf of the entire family, we wish to thank the staff of UMC, particularly Drs. Graham and Andreansky, for their selfless dedication in helping Lily fight this battle. A funeral service will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church on Seventh Street in Sierra Vista. Donations can be made to further cancer research at UMC (checks payable to UAF/SCRC with memo Lily Doyle Fund) and mailed to UAF/SCRC, PO Box 245073, Tucson, Ariz. 85724-5073; or contributions can also be made directly to the family (checks payable to Shawn or Alicia Doyle) and mailed to PO Box 835, Sierra Vista, Ariz. 85635-0835. online |
